We are excited to announce that Arkademy SchoolHouse has been approved as the official EdTech Partner for the FreedomEd SI Initiative!
This partnership marks an important milestone in our commitment to advancing education through technology and equipping educators with practical tools for the future of learning.
Supported by the U.S. Mission Nigeria through the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF), FreedomEd SI is designed to equip 200 secondary school teachers from public and low-resource schools across Oyo and Osun States with practical, ethical and classroom-ready Super Intelligence (SI) skills.
For us, this partnership is about more than technology. It is about empowering teachers, strengthening professional collaboration and helping educators explore how emerging technologies can support meaningful learning in Nigerian classrooms.
What is FreedomEd SI?
FreedomEd SI—formerly FreedomEd AI—is an educator development initiative focused on helping secondary school teachers understand and apply Super Intelligence tools in practical, ethical and educationally meaningful ways.
The program combines virtual learning with hands-on bootcamp modules, giving participating teachers opportunities to develop their skills and explore classroom applications.
Its goals include:
- Equipping 200 teachers from public and low-resource secondary schools in Oyo and Osun States.
- Developing 40 SI Educator Champions who can support peer learning and knowledge-sharing.
- Producing 60 SI-supported lesson plans for classroom use.
- Establishing an educator network that sustains collaboration and access to digital learning beyond the project period.
What this means for teachers
If you teach in a public or low-resource secondary school in Oyo or Osun State, this is an opportunity to explore how emerging technologies can support your professional practice.
Through the program, selected participants will take part in virtual and hands-on learning experiences designed to build practical skills and encourage responsible classroom application.
Participating teachers will have the opportunity to:
- Develop practical skills in using Super Intelligence tools.
- Explore how SI can support lesson preparation and educational resource development.
- Consider responsible and ethical applications of emerging technology in education.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and share ideas.
- Contribute to a growing network of teachers exploring technology-enabled learning.
Applications are now open, according to the program announcement. Teachers should review the official application information to confirm eligibility, deadlines and participation requirements.
